In the Name of God, the Merciful and the Compassionate
A statement issued by the National and Islamic Forces
No Voice higher than the Voice of the Intifada
The call of Steadfastness and Confrontation

Our great Palestinian masses
Our Arab and Islamic Masses
Our Intifada heroes

The national shield created by the blessed Intifada, the Intifada of al-Aqsa, Jerusalem, Independence and Return, and which is supported by the heroic resistance activities blocked the road in front of Barak's attempts to exploit the Palestinian position in support to his election campaign. The activities of the national and Islamic forces and the activities of the civil society, whether in terms of campaigns to resist normalization and reinforcing the national identity or in the area of boycotting the Israeli products and evacuating the Palestinian markets from such products, need to be recognized and appreciated as they reflect the Palestinian popular position.

The National and Islamic forces express their support to the positions of the national and Islamic forces in the territories occupied in 1948 who will not vote to either of the two candidates to the position of Prime Minister of the Zionist entity. The National and Islamic forces call upon the Arab and Islamic masses to activate their role in supporting the Intifada and urge the Arab countries to honor their financial commitments that were ratified in the Arab and Islamic Summits to support the blessed Intifada.

The operations of confronting the settlers which reject the existence of settlements reflect the conscious of the Palestinian people who seek to liberate the Palestinian lands from military occupation and settlements and want to realize national independence and the Palestinian State with full sovereignty with al-Quds as its capital.

The National and Islamic Forces call upon the Palestinian masses to participate in the following activities:

  1. Tuesday, February 6, 2001, a day of popular anger and total closure from 1:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. and to organize massive marches and demonstrations that will affirm the continuation of the Intifada as a basic struggle option towards achieving the goals of our people and to commemorate the martyrs of the Intifada.
  2. Friday, February 9, 2001, a day of field escalation in the Intifada to include local marches and rallies that stress on confronting settlements and reinforce the Palestinian steadfastness and confrontation in all arenas.

The National and Islamic Forces are looking forward to the historical role of the Intifada in confronting the atrocities and barbarism of occupation and settlers' gangs; these forces stress on the need to re-arrange the Palestinian internal front, including the total and comprehensive national unity that can cancel corruption and measures which might weaken our internal front at all levels so that the struggle and confrontation will be supported with the highest forms of integration and unity between the National Authority and the National and Islamic Forces and the whole Palestinian civil society.

Long live the blessed Intifada
Glory and eternity for our martyrs
Fast recovery to the injured and freedom for our heroic prisoners
It is an Intifada until victory

The National and Islamic Forces
