In the Name of God, the Merciful and the Compassionate
A statement issued by the National and Islamic Forces
No Voice higher than the Voice of the Intifada
The call of Dignity "Karameh"

Our great Palestinian masses
Our Arab and Islamic Masses
Our Intifada heroes

Here we see the winds of the eternal Karameh come to you on its 33rd anniversary to remind you of the heroic steadfastness and the victory of will over the arrogance of power and to confirm that our solid will and national unity is our weapon that makes us confident of the inevitability of victory god's willing.
The National and Islamic Forces extend on Mother's Day a warm salute to the mothers of martyrs and heroic injured and detainees and to all mothers in the Palestinian people and nation, expressing our deepest appreciation to the school of mothers which makes real men and heroes. We also greet the courageous initiative of Palestinian women, who guard our permanent light, for their effective initiative in calling on behalf of Palestinian General Women Union and women institutions for the central women march on Monday, March 19, 2001, towards al-Quds and for a sit-in in front of Qalandia checkpoint to break the Israeli oppressive siege and calls on everybody to support this initiative with all potentials.
The National and Islamic Forces salute the effective mass moves which were initiated by the official and popular institutions last Monday to break the siege and open Ramallah-Birzeit road with the participation of bulldozers and cadres of the Public Works Ministry, which returned to the Intifada its mass and popular momentum and opened the door for initiatives of all popular institutions in the society, where trade unions and the Ministry of Health organized the march of white collars and today, Saturday, we see intellectuals and artists organize a march towards al-Ram checkpoint to meet with a march of intellectuals behind the Green Line.
The National and Islamic Forces stress on condemning the siege and affirm the need for permanent moves to break it. The Forces also denounce the US policy that supports the government of Sharon and Peres and adopt their aggressive positions and seeks to open the regional file to justify its aggression against Iraq and impose the Zionist hegemony over the region. Palestinians, Arabs, and the free peoples in the world must also face  the visit of the slaughterer Sharon to the US after announcing his start of the 100-blackdays plan with condemnation.

The comprehensiveness of the Intifada in time and place constitutes the correct response to the Sharon policies that aim to disconnect the parts of the homeland so that he can deal with the territories under siege with the stick and carrot policy, which stipulates rewarding the areas that show surrender and launch an aggression against the active areas. We have to prove to him that all our regions are areas of courageous people and that there is no one who will show surrendering to get the poisonous carrot, which are more painful than the strike of his sticks, which will break on the rock of steadfastness of our heroes.
The National and Islamic Forces call on the Palestinian masses and the Arab nation to be careful and alert regarding the psychological war exercised by the Zionist media in terms of lies about the lifting of the siege and facilitating the life of citizens. We stress here that the international community must take into consideration the current events and situation; the international community is required to support our people in protecting themselves and the continuation of their struggle to liberate their lands and build their independent sovereign state with al-Quds al-Shareef as its capital and achieve their return to their lands and properties from which they were evicted.

The National and Islamic Forces call on our masses to participate in the following activities.

1- Wednesday, March 21, 2001, a day of Karameh and Mother's Day, a day to honor the martyrs and injured students in Palestine and to protest against the visit of slaughterer Sharon to the US, a day to condemn the US biased policy; a day of marches and festivals in the Palestinian districts and a day of sit-ins in front of US Embassies and consulates in Arab and foreign capitals.

2- Friday, March 23, 2001, a day for defending the Aqsa and to condemn any attempts to attack and commit any aggression against it; to call on masses to conduct marches and festivals and head to Aqsa Mosque for prayers and break the siege, checkpoints and resist settlements.

The National and Islamic Forces started seeking and mobilizing broadest support and activities prior to the Arab summit in Amman; at the same time, the forces sent a petition to the Arab Kings and presidents to take and implement decisions in support to the Intifada. The Forces also directed an appeal to the leaders of Arab and Islamic parties and forces and an urgent message to friendly political parties, forces and organizations to move and condemn the Zionist aggression policy which is directed against our people and to condemn the US policy that supports the Zionist aggression policy towards adopting a unified international position to support the brave Intifada.

Long live the blessed Intifada
Glory and eternity for our martyrs
Fast recovery to the injured and freedom for our heroic prisoners
It is an Intifada until victory
