JERUSALEM, June 23 (JMCC) - Israeli police surrounded the Salah family homes in
Beit Safafa Wednesday morning while Israeli settlers tried to install temporary housing nearby.
The Palestinian Salah family has been ordered to leave their family home by an Israeli court, which ruled that the property belonged to Jewish owners. The family established a temporary shelter nearby in protest, which has also been threatened with demolition by Israeli officials.
Beit Safafa is a southern neighborhood of occupied East
Jerusalem, which has been the focus of Israeli
settlement in recent months.
