RAMALLAH, June 28 (JMCC) - The Israeli military will no longer be allowed to fly its military aircraft in Turkish airspace, according to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan.

The announcement, which came at the G-8 Summit in Canada, is a response to the Israeli military's attack on an aid flotilla to the Gaza Strip that left nine Turkish nationals dead.

Turkey and Israel's historically warm relations have frozen over since Israel's 2009 Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip ended. Turkey has since recalled its ambassador and canceled joint military drills between the two countries.
