RAMALLAH, July 26 (JMCC) - Israeli war planes struck three smuggling tunnels and an open area in
Nuseirat refugee camp early Monday morning, Palestinian sources said.
No casualties were reported.
The strikes came in response to Palestinian rocket fire over the weekend, said an Israeli military spokesperson.
On Saturday, Palestinians fired four rockets into southern Israel, causing no damage or injuries. One of the rockets, with a 115 millimeter diameter, appears to have been manufactured outside the Strip.
The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm citizens of the State of Israel or IDF soldiers and will continue to work determinedly and forcefully against any element operating terror against the State of Israel, the IDF statement said.
The IDF holds the Hamas terror organization solely responsible for the occurrences in the Gaza Strip and for maintaining calm there.
