RAMALLAH, Jan. 19 (JMCC) - Former Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni says she is willing to face charges of war crimes in a British court.
I would like this to be, in a way, maybe even a test case, because I'm willing to speak up and to speak about the military operation in Gaza Strip, she told CNN in an interview.
British officials issued a warrant for Livni's arrest in late 2009, but the warrant was later dropped without its details being made public.
Israel and Hamas both carried out war crimes in the war Israel carried out in the Gaza Strip last year, according to a UN report on the 23-day conflict.
