JERUSALEM, November 22 (JMCC) - For the second time in two weeks, Israeli forces moved into the
Jerusalem neighborhood of
Isawiya and bulldozed agricultural lands.
Hani Issawi of the local land defense committee said that after the first demolition, residents had rebuilt the farms' retaining walls and put up barbed wire to try to protect the land.
Israeli soldiers also confiscated equipment on the land.
The move was certain to raise tensions in the community in eastern Jerusalem, which Palestinians seek as the future capital of a Palestinian state.
