RAMALLAH, November 27 (JMCC) - The son of the late Israeli leader Yitzhak Rabin is proposing a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, according to an article published in the new website, www.bitterlemons-api.org.
The website is part of the bitterlemons publication, which are published in part by the Jerusalem Media and Communications Centre.
Yuval Rabin and Koby Huberman describe their Israeli Peace Initiative as a parallel plan to the Arab Peace Initiative first proposed in 2002...
Under the IPI, Jerusalem would be the capital of both Israel and the Palestinian state and the border between the two would reflect Israel's borders before the 1967 war with some one-for-one exchanges of territory. The two sides would negotiate a solution for Palestinian refugees and mutual recognition of each state's right to exist.
