JERUSALEM, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Three Italian nuns were killed and two others injured on Friday when their car crashed in northern
Israel, police and medical officials said.
The five women, who had come to the Holy Land on a Christmas pilgrimage, hit an electricity pole near Beit She'an on the Jordanian border, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.
Police spokesman Alex Kadlaksky said two of the nuns died outright and a third after being taken to a hospital. The other two nuns were receiving treatment for injuries. (Writing by Dan Williams; Editing by Kevin Liffey)
