RAMALLAH, January 19 (JMCC) - Former Israeli foreign minister
Tzipi Livni has canceled a trip to South Africa planned for later this week.
Local pro-Palestinian groups had threatened to have Livni arrested for alleged war crimes carried out during her tenure. According to the Israeli foreign ministry, however, Livni's trip was canceled due to an ongoing ministry strike, not for fear of her arrest.
