RAMALLAH Feb 21 (JMCC) - Dubai's police chief told an Emirati paper Sunday that members of a hit squad entered Dubai using diplomatic passports.

There is information that Dubai police will not make public for the moment, especially regarding diplomatic passports used by some of Mahmoud Mabhouh's killers to enter Dubai, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan told al-Bayan.

Mabhouh was found murdered in his Dubai hotel room on Jan. 20. UAE police have said with near-certainty that Israel's spy agency, the Mossad, was behind the assassination of the Hamas commander.

Last week, Khalfan released the names and photos of 11 suspects with European passports - six from Britain, three from Ireland, one from Germany and one from France - in the killing. Seven of those named have been found to be dual citizens living in Israel, but claim no knowledge of the death of Mabhouh.

In a separate interview, the law-enforcement official called on Hamas to conduct an internal investigation into a possible Hamas mole who informed upon Mabhouh's whereabouts. This is the real killer, Khalfan told the newspaper al-Khalij.
