RAMALLAH, Mar. 11 (JMCC) - A poll released in Israel on Thursday shows that nearly 50 percent of Israeli high school students believe that Arab citizens of Israel do not deserve equal rights.
The same poll, which will be presented at an academic discussion in Israel on Thursday, illustrates that over half the students do not believe Israeli-Arabs should be able to run for public office.
The percentages were much higher for students in the ultra-orthodox Jewish communities. The results of the poll show a serious lack of democratic values and even racism among Israeli youth, explained one of the conference organizers.
