Palestinian girls reinvent walking stick for the blind

RAMALLAH, April 28 (JMCC) - Three Palestinian girls from the West Bank city of Nablus have won a trip to Intel Corp.'s international youth science fair in San Jose, California for inventing a laser-sensor walking stick for the blind.

The three stand to win a $75,000 prize if their invention takes first place in next month's competition, which will host students from 50 countries worldwide.
