Israel to compensate settlers for slowdown

RAMALLAH, May 26 (JMCC) - Israel plans to spend as much as $10 million compensating settlements and regional councils for a recent slowdown in construction, reports the Associated Press.

In November 2010, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a 10-month settlement freeze in the West Bank, not including areas of natural growth and Jerusalem.
