Abed Rabbo was born in 1953 and holds a PhD in human resource management. He was head consultant to the UN on agricultural affairs. He served as director general of the planning and policies committee in Jordan’s ministry of agriculture, and later as a consultant to the Palestinian Authority’s ministry of agriculture, before becoming minister of agriculture himself.
