Samir Othman Huleileh

Samir Othman Huleileh was chief of the cabinet and head of the prime minister’s office in the government formed between February 2005 and March 2006.

Huleileh was born in 1968 and holds a master’s degree in economics. He is considered an expert in economic affairs and the private sector. He worked many years with Palestine Liberation Organization’s institutions and was undersecretary at the ministry of economy, trade and industry. Huleileh participated in multilateral and bilateral economic negotiations with Israel during the Oslo Peace Process. He also helped establish the Palestinian Economic Council for Development and Reconstruction (PECDAR). He is head of the board of directors of Paltrade.
