Hikmat Zeid, a member of Fateh, was minister of agriculture from 1998 until 2001. He was appointed minister of transport in October 2003 in the emergency government and continued to hold this position until February 2005. He was the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) representative for Jenin.
