    With regards to the voters registered in the voters list:

  • The number of registrants on the voters’ list was 1,092,407 by December 1, 2005.
  • The total of registrants on the voters’ list in the West Bank, including the voters in Jerusalem, was 687,537. That is %71 of the estimated number of eligible voters in the West Bank.
  • The total of registrants on the voters’ list in the Gaza Strip was 419,000. That is %64 of the estimated number of eligible voters in The Gaza Strip.
  • On the observation perspective, the numbers of observers accredited by the CEC until January 4, 2005 is distributed as follows:

  • 201 domestic observation organization represented by 7124 observers.
  • 58 international observation organization represented by 800 observers.
  • 13 partisan entities represented by 12448 agents.
  • 2242 agents representing independent candidates.
  • Total number of observers and political parties and candidates agents is 22500.
  • As for the polling centers, they are distributed as follows:

  • 1007 polling center for registrants on the voters’ list.
  • 70 civil registry polling centers.
  • Total number of polling centers is 1077.
  • The number of polling stations is 2316 (excludes Civil Registry stations).
  • The total number of polling stations is 2,840.
  • The number of civil registry polling stations is 524.
  • 16300 polling employee distributed amongst the centers
  • As for the activities of the CEC awareness and education section during the registration period, they were as follows:

  • distribution of 300 thousand posters
  • 200 thousand stickers
  • Over one million paper leaflets and brochures.
  • 2-3 daily newspaper advertisement over a period of 50 days
  • 5,000 various television spots with an average of 10 daily broadcasts.
  • 10,000 various radio spots with an average of 10 daily broadcasts.
  • As for the polling period:

  • 25 thousand educational and inciting stickers
  • 3,000 radio spots.
  • 3,000 television spots.
  • Distribution of one million copies of the lists of the civil registry centers.
  • Distribution of a million flyers on the polling steps.
  • As for the supervising process, numbers of supervisors are as follows:

  • 54 employees in the CEC HQ.
  • 20 employees in the Regional Office.
  • 128 employees in the 16 Electoral District Offices.
  • 10 employees for the calling center.
  • 5 employees in the DEC, in addition to 155 employees during the data entering.
  • 58 employees in central warehouse.
  • 310 field supervisors for the polling centers.
  • 58 international observation organization represented by 800 observers.
