Exit polls released after voting Centers closed [9:00 pm] on Sunday the 9th of January evening.

The exit poll conducted by PCPSR among 10,000 voters gave Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) 66% of votes, Mustafa Barghouti won 19.7% of votes, Bassam Salhi, PPP candidate got 2.7%, Taiseer Khaled, DFLP candidate got 3.8%, Abdul Kareem Shubeir got 0.7%, Sayyed Barakeh got 1.1% and Abdul Haleem al-Ashqar got 2.4%. The poll had a margin of error of 3%.

The second exit poll conducted by An Najah University in Nablus among 5000 voters, gave Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) 69.5%, Mustafa Barghouthi gets 24.5%, Taiseer Khaled, DFLP candidate gets 1.5% of votes and Bassam Salahi, PPP candidate gets 1.5 of votes. The poll had a margin of error of 5%.

The Voter turnout in elections 65%.
