Israel Violations
Despite of the Israeli promises to halt operations in the occupied Palestinian territories and to ease the measurements during the presidential elections, but so far:
Since November 25 Israeli army forces killed 68 Palestinians, wounded 135 Palestinians and destroyed 95 homes.
Disallowed from campaigning: Since the beginning of the elections campaign the two presidential candidates from Gaza have been prevented from entering the West Bank.
Two presidential candidates from West Bank have been arrested, beaten and prevented from entering Jerusalem.
The restriction of movements in and out the Palestinian occupied territories. These restrictions will prevent the Palestinian voters from reaching the polling stations.
The continuation of Israeli incursion into the North of Gaza and into cities in the West Bank.
The continued closure of the Gaza strip by the Israeli Army greatly obstructs the movement of CEC staff and the implementation of planed training workshops for 17,322 supervisors and personnel of Polling and Counting Centers.
