Friday 14 January: Nablus and Vicinity Highlights:
Khan al Lubban, Huwara, Jacob's Well, Tel Balata (Shechem), Roman Nablus,
the Old City: the oriental market, grand mosque, Turkish bath, soap factory,
kunafa workshop, al-Qasabah museum, Mount Jerzim, and Sebastia (Samaria).

Good Samaritan Inn, Nabi Mousa, St. Goerge's Monastery, Tulul abu Al-Alaieq

and the land Highlights: A visit to a Palestinian town, village, and refugee
camp in a selected region in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip, to meet Palestinians
and visit different cultural institutions. Cost: NIS 130

Sunday 23 January: Bethlehem and vicinity Highlights:
Monasteries of st. Saba and Ibn Ubaid, Shepherd's Fields, Herodion, Church
of the Nativity, Milk Grotto, Bethlehem Museum, Solomon's Pools, and Murad's

Friday 28 January: Cultural night in Turkish bath
in Nablus Highlights: Short tour of the Old City from 15:00 - 17:00 followed
by dinner and oriental music. Bath optional. Departure from Ramallah at
14:00 and
return

Saturday 29 January: Jenin and Tulkarem Highlights:
Balameh tunnel, Burqin church, Tel Jenin, Taanek, Um al Rihan, Tulkarem,

Sunday 30 January: Bedouins of the wilder- ness of
Jerusalem Highlights: Half a day tour (13:00 - 17:00) to explore the way
of life of Bedouins in the desert and their customs. Cost: NIS 80

Nablus, Ramallah and surroundings:
1 day See the old city of Nablus (Al-Kasabah)
and Joseph's Tomb. Explore the Turkish Bath and visit traditional soap
factories. Lastly tour the village of Jifna and visit a refugee camp. Leaves
Tuesdays at 10:00 (trips to both cities can be arranged separately) Price:

Refugee camp: 3 hrs.
A visit to a West bank refugee camp: meet
with families and learn about the camp life and background of the Palestinian
refugees. Leaves Mondays and Thursdays at 15:00 Price: NIS 35
Jerusalem: 3 hrs.
Walking tour through the four quarters of
the Old City. See the sights and learn about the situation of the Palestinians
in the city. Leaves daily at 10:00 Price: NIS 40 N.B. Tours focusing on
the Israeli settlement policy in and around Jerusalem can be arranged upon

Bethlehem: 3 hrs.
Visit the old city market, Church of the Nativity

Visit the Ibrahimi Mosque, the Arab market

In cooperation with Artas Center for Culture and Heritage
Palestinian teachers and students show their
country and cultural heritage to the visitor. The program is geared towards
small groups of visitors who like to deviate from the existing tourist
routes to discover places which have a rich heritage across dif- ferent
cultures. Twice a month on Friday mornings from 8:00 - 14:30 the tours
center around Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Hebron. Each journey is designed
to present a cultural theme.

Parables and moral stories of Palestine
