Easter Message from Jerusalem
Easter is a major festive event for Eastern Christian. The various historic churches of Palestine are rich in their liturgies, rituals, and ceremonies, and welcome pilgrims from around the world.
Unfortunately, most of the christians of Palestine are prefvented from coming to celebrate Easter in Jerusalem due to the Israeli closure. They are being deprived of the basic human right to worship God in their most holy place, the Church of the Resurrection.
In spite of this, the Easter message still rings tru to people everywhere. It is a message of joy and hope in the midst of so much sadness and despair; of the victory of justice and truth over injustice and falsehood; of the power of life and renewal over death and destruction.
We greet you with the traditional Easter greeting of Palestinian Christians,
Almasih Qam, Haqn Qam
Christ is Risen - The Lord is Risen Indeed - Halleluia
