Sunday 4/4/1999: Jericho and Vicinity

Highlights: Khan Al Ahmar (Good Samaritan Inn), nabi Mousa, St. Goerge's monastery, Herod's winter palace, Jericho city, Tel Jericho, Monastery of Temptation, Jewish synagogue, Hisham's Palace. Price: NIS 130.
Friday 9/4/1999: Solomon's Pools to Wadi khreitoun: a half day walking tour in the Bethlehem area starting at Solomon's opols and ending at Herodion and Wadi Khreitoun. Trip from Ramallah to bethlehem and back is by bus. Price: NIS 70

Sunday 11/4/1999: Bethlehem and Hebron.

Highlights: church of the Nativity, Solomon's pools, Shepherds' field, Herodion, halhul, glass and pottery factories, haram al Rameh, Haram al Ibrahimi (Tombs of the Patriarchs), old city, Tel Al Rumeideh, Russian Church. Price NIS 120.
Alternative Tours: regular tours to the West Bank

  • Jerusalem: 3 hrs
    • Walking tour through the old city of Jeruaslem. Visit all the religious and touristic sights and learn about the situation of the Palestinians in the city.

    • Guided tour to the historical and religious sites of Hebron and the ibrahimi Mosque, Arab market, glass and pottery factories.

  • Ramallah and Nablus: 1 day
    • Visit the city of Ramallah, including Birzeit university and the traditional village of Jifna. Tour the city of nablus in the northern West Bank and visit its sites including the old city, joseph's tomb, and the Turkish bath.

  • Bethlehem: 3 - 4 hours
    • Guided tour to the sites of the birthplace of jesus, the city of bethlehem. Visit the old city market, the Church of Nativity and the Milk Grotto and learn more about the political situation in the palestinian Territories.
    Leaves several days a week. 10:00 am or 3:00 pm. Price: NIS 35
  • Jericho: 1/2 day
    • Visit the city of Jericho including st. George's monastery, Wadi Qilt, Tel Jericho, the Mount of temptation, Hisham's palace and enjoy the orchards of the oldest city in the world.

  • Refugee camp: 1/2 day
    • For those who would liekt o know more about the Palestinian cause and the situation of the palestinian people. This trip takes you to meet with families and learn about the camp life.

  • Gaza Strip: Full day guided tour to Gaza via Eretz checkpoint including: Gaza city and the Gaza sea shore, Israeli settlements, refugee camp, and other sites.
