JERUSALEM, Nov 30 (JMCC) - Israeli bulldozers demolished an uninhabited home in the
Jerusalem neighborhood of
Isawiya Tuesday morning, after officials said it was built without the proper permits.
Owner of the home Atiya Ismail Amtar said that the demolition had been carried out without warning, even as his lawyers were scheduled to appear in court to appeal the demolition order.
As Israeli forces accompanied the bulldozers to the site, they clashed with Palestinian protesters. Tear gas was used to disperse the crowd.
The demolition was the fourth to be carried out in the
West Bank and Jerusalem since the end of a Muslim holiday last week.
