Dr Ahmed Tibi is an Israeli politician and leader of the Arab nationalist party in Israel, Taal (Arab Movement for Renewal). He serves as deputy speaker of the Knesset. He was elected on a joint ticket with the United Arab List to serve in Israel's parliament, the Knesset.

He served as a political advisor to Yasser Arafat, former Palestinian Authority chairman, for several years. He also represented the Palestinians at the 1998 Wye River negotiations. In 1999 he resigned from the post, when he decided to run for the Knesset.
Tibi is a trained physician and graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
