Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF), serves as minister of labor in the thirteenth Palestinian government. He was appointed by PA President Mahmoud Abbas and on May 19, 2009 he was officially sworn in. He also served as a minister without portfolio, in charge of the issues concerning the Wall, in the ninth Palestinian government between February 2005 and March 2006.

Majdalani was born in 1956 in Damascus. He holds a PhD in political economy from the social sciences academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a member of the Palestine National Council (PNC) and head of the Palestinian Economists Association. He works as a lecturer of philosophy at Birzeit University and is a researcher who has written for many publications.
