RAMALLAH, April 24 (JMCC) - Five Palestinians and one international activist were injured Saturday in a protest against the buffer zone that
Israel maintains along its border with the
Gaza Strip. One of the Palestinians was in critical condition at a Gaza hospital.
Some 150 people, including six foreign supporters, attended the protest against Israel's ban on farming within the no-go area, said the International Solidarity Movement in a press release.
Bianca Zimmit, 28, from Malta was filming the demonstration when she was shot in her left thigh, said the group.
The protests against the buffer zone are a weekly event.
