Saed al-Din Kharma, a member of Fateh, was minister of transport in the ninth Palestinian government from February 2005 until March 2006.

Kharma was born in Gaza in 1954 and holds a BSc in electrical engineering from Egypt, and a master's in industrial electronics from the United States. He worked as an electrical engineer in the Gaza municipality and as director of planning in the energy authority after the establishment of the Palestinian Authority. He was also deputy mayor of Gaza. Between 1994 and 2003 he was head of the engineers union. He was also member of the board of directors of the electricity distribution company in Gaza.
